Data & Methodology
Every data point on this site traces back to an official source. This page documents exactly where each dataset comes from and how often it is reviewed.
Office Data
- Application Support Centers: scraped directly from the official USCIS office profile pages on uscis.gov, including addresses, day-by-day hours, driving directions and each profile's official "last updated" date.
- Field offices: compiled from official USCIS listings and public records, cross-checked against multiple sources. A small number of offices that share buildings with ASCs are flagged on their pages.
Fees
Filing fees are extracted from the current official G-1055 Fee Schedule PDF published by USCIS, including paper and online filing prices. Category-specific and statutory additional fees are noted where relevant.
Processing Times
Median processing times come from the official USCIS "Historical Median Processing Times" report covering fiscal years 2016 through 2024. We publish medians exactly as reported, in months, and link to the live official tool for case-specific estimates. One row (I-90) was excluded from our tables because the source PDF's formatting made it impossible to extract unambiguously.
Civics Test Questions
The 100 civics questions and answers are reproduced verbatim from the official USCIS publication (2008 version), a U.S. government work in the public domain.
Review Cycle
Fees and processing data are re-verified when USCIS publishes new editions. Office data is reviewed periodically and whenever a reader reports a change through our contact page.
